Powering Agriculture: Uganda Action Plan
The Powering Agriculture: Uganda Action Plan is centered around ten critical actions designed to enhance awareness, improve access to finance, and establish a supportive policy environment, all of which are essential for driving market transformation in Uganda's agricultural sector.
These actions were developed through a collaborative effort initiated at the National Visioning Meeting on Productive Use of Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) for Agriculture, convened in March 2022 by Power for All and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD) of Uganda.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders from Uganda’s energy and agriculture sectors with the goal of creating a cohesive, stakeholder-driven strategy to accelerate the adoption of DRE technologies for agricultural productive use in Uganda, aligning with the nation's Vision 2040 and Sustainable Development Goals.
