Power for All had a significant presence at the SEforALL Forum. CEO Kristina Skierka joined a high-level panel on “Electricity for All in Sub-Saharan Africa”, and research director Rebekah Shirley guided an interactive working session called the “Energy Access Dividend- Data that Informs and Influences”, looking at how to further research on socio-economic impacts of electricity access, with participation from Acumen, Duke University, RVE.SOL, wPower Hub and the World Health Organization.

Campaign Update: May 2019

A series of policy briefs were released recently by UNDESA at a High-Level Dialogue on the Implementation of the United Nations Decade of Sustainable Energy for All 2014-2019: A Mid-Point Review. Power for All’s CEO Kristina Skierka joined a panel to discuss the interlinkages between SDG7 and other other SDGs under review this year (SDG 4, SDG 8, SDG 10, SDG 13, SDG 16 and SDG 17). Power for All collaborated closely with IRENA and ILO to develop a policy brief on energy and jobs (one of 16 policy briefs related to SDG7), which were released at the event.

Campaign Update: March 2022

Our Powering Jobs campaign kicked off its first steering committee meetings with key stakeholders at the global and national levels. The U2.0 campaign held a briefing session with key project partners to share the insights and findings from the pilot research. As part of the Powering Agriculture campaign, our CEO, Kristina Skierka, facilitated a meeting on productive use of renewable energy for an agriculture action plan with key stakeholders in Kampala, Uganda.

Campaign Update: October 2019

Our CEO Kristina Skierka participated in The Rockefeller Foundation launch of the Global Commission to End Energy Poverty (GCEEP) during UN Climate Week, which put forward a results-driven roadmap to end energy poverty by 2030. Our research team meanwhile attended the Smarter Mobility Summit and Financing the Future Summit. Next up: KIREC and Global Green Growth Week.
