Power for All Appoints Alba Topulli as New Chief Executive Officer to Lead the Fight Against Energy Poverty

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, USA, April 09, 2025 – Power for All announces the appointment of Alba Topulli as its new chief executive officer, following a global search. Alba succeeds Kristina Skierka, who steps down after a decade leading the transformative campaign dedicated to ending energy poverty.

"We celebrate and thank Kristina for a decade of impact and service, building Power for All into an influential organization to end energy poverty," said Adam Browning, chair of the board at Power for All and president of policy and communications at Forum Mobility. “We are excited to welcome Alba, whose experience and vision will help propel Power for All into the next phase of its mission, addressing the challenges of a rapidly evolving energy landscape.”

“Alba's leadership arrives at a pivotal moment, as global development priorities shift,” said Sheila Oparaocha, international coordinator of the ENERGIA International Network on Gender and Sustainable Energy and board member at Power for All. “Our focus is on uniting stakeholders and bridging market gaps, aiming to accelerate the transition towards commercially viable and inclusive energy markets that generate positive outcomes for communities.”

Distributed renewable energy (DRE) technologies are increasingly recognized as the most cost-effective and scalable solutions for energy access in many regions. Under Alba’s leadership, Power for All will work with its coalition of over 500 partners to scale the adoption of DRE solutions, electrifying communities faster while unlocking economic opportunities for billions who are currently living without reliable energy access.

“Power for All’s mission to end energy poverty has never been more urgent,” said Alba Topulli, CEO of Power for All. “No single organization can tackle the magnitude of this challenge alone. I look forward to working with our coalition of partners to accelerate progress, bringing to market innovations that power up communities and businesses faster and more cost-effectively than traditional electrification methods alone. I want to express my gratitude to the Board for their confidence and to Kristina for her leadership.”

Before joining Power for All, Alba was deputy managing director at Mercy Corps’ Energy 4 Impact, an innovative energy platform that has supported over 15,000 small and growing businesses across Africa. Her previous work in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa focused on advancing energy policy reforms, strengthening local market ecosystems, and leading business innovation portfolios.

“It has been an honor to lead Power for All and witness the organization grow into a powerful advocate for ending energy poverty,” said Kristina Skierka. “Alba’s leadership, vision, and expertise are what Power for All needs as it enters this next chapter of its mission.”
